The service

What TRT coaching involves

TRT is structured coaching for stress and anxiety recovery. The aim is greater stability and wellbeing in everyday life—not better scores, selection or sporting technique. The work uses the Human Stability Framework.

  1. 01

    Start with your anxiety

Your coach begins with what you are experiencing, what you want to work on and any support you already have. This helps establish whether TRT coaching and the proposed format are suitable for you.

  2. 02

Learn the framework with your coach

Your coach explains the biological threat response and how attention, interpretation and behaviour can keep it active. They introduce the TRT framework and agree practical areas to work on with you.

  3. 03

Use the guided steps in everyday life

The coaching supports your use of structured materials or exercises, with questions and adjustments as part of the work. Sport may be part of your life, but your anxiety need not be caused by it.

One-to-one sessions can be arranged via Zoom, FaceTime, or in person at Oliva Nova or nearby.

TRT coaching does not provide a medical diagnosis or replace medical or psychological care. No recovery timeframe or sporting result is guaranteed.

When you get in touch

What to tell us.

Tell us whether you are enquiring for yourself, a club or a visiting team, what fear, anxiety or stress you want to discuss, and whether you need online support or an arrangement near Oliva. A brief description is enough; you do not need to send medical records or another person's private history.

We'll discuss whether coaching is suitable, how we might meet and the cost before anything is agreed. We don't provide medical or psychological treatment.

Sports psychology and anxiety-recovery coaching

Work with a qualified TRT Therapist who explains the approach and guides you through practical recovery steps. Your sessions focus on your experience, recovery goals and any support you already receive.

Mental-performance coaching or support for anxiety?

Mental-performance coaching often focuses on skills such as attention, routines, motivation and performing consistently. A search for a mental performance coach in Spain may be about those goals, or it may be how you describe feeling overwhelmed by fear and worry. Clarifying that distinction helps you choose a service.

TRT coaching focuses on stress and anxiety recovery and everyday wellbeing. We do not offer technical sports coaching, tactical instruction or a promise of improved scores. If the main issue is fear, panic or persistent worry, tell us about it rather than asking for a performance result to be guaranteed.

Sports performance anxiety and competition nerves

Performance anxiety, pre-match nerves and competition anxiety can feel different from ordinary anticipation. Explain what happens before, during and after an event: perhaps the worry continues overnight, leads you to avoid competing, or sits alongside anxiety elsewhere in life.

These are possible enquiry topics, not a diagnosis. TRT coaching can be discussed when anxiety recovery is the goal; a better time, score or selection outcome is not promised. You do not have to prove the anxiety was caused by sport, and not every nervous feeling means you have an anxiety condition.

05

Fear of failure and selection pressure

Fear of failure in sport may involve replaying mistakes, dreading a trial or worrying about letting others down. Pressure from selection, a contract or expectations can be part of the situation, but the anxiety may also reach beyond sport. Describe what is affecting you rather than reducing it to a confidence score.

An athlete can enquire privately about TRT coaching without asking a club to explain their personal concerns. A manager can ask about access to support for players and staff, but coaching should not be used to assess selection or require someone to disclose private difficulties to teammates.

Stress, panic and anxiety in athletes

Athlete stress, panic attacks and anxiety in sport are not always about the competition. Panic on a journey, health worries, intrusive thoughts or concerns at home can affect someone who trains and competes. Our first focus is people in sport, without assuming sport caused their anxiety.

TRT enquiries can cover fear, stress and anxiety in this wider picture. Coaching does not diagnose symptoms or replace healthcare. New or severe symptoms need appropriate assessment; if someone needs urgent help, use emergency or healthcare routes rather than waiting for a coaching reply.

Golf yips, first-tee anxiety and fear around a stroke

People searching for golf yips help or golf performance anxiety may be concerned about an involuntary movement, freezing, first-tee fear or the worry that follows a difficult round. These concerns should not all be assumed to have the same cause. Research describes both movement-related and psychological aspects of the yips.

You can enquire about stress and anxiety around golf, including worry unrelated to your game. A new or persistent movement difficulty should also be assessed by a qualified health professional. TRT coaching is not a swing lesson, a neurological diagnosis or a promise to eliminate the yips.

Fear of returning to sport after injury

Fear of reinjury and return-to-sport anxiety may become apparent when you are asked to resume a movement or contact you previously trusted. Tell us whether you have been physically cleared and what now feels frightening. A coaching enquiry can concern the anxiety without deciding whether the activity is safe.

Your medical or rehabilitation team remains responsible for physical assessment, rehabilitation and clearance. TRT coaching does not replace those roles or set a deadline for returning. New pain or symptoms belong with the appropriate clinician; support for fear can be discussed separately.

Football training camps and team welfare in Spain

A football club searching for a training-camp psychologist in Spain may need clinical services, mental-skills training or a private route to help with stress and anxiety. Before planning support, explain the purpose, ages, dates, group size and welfare arrangements already in place.

For camps near Oliva Nova, clubs can enquire about TRT coaching for players and staff. A group format or private access would need suitability and practical arrangements agreed first. We are independent of the resort and clubs; an enquiry does not book a venue or establish on-site access. Services are currently offered in English.

Sports psychology alternatives for clubs and trip organisers

If you are comparing sports psychology alternatives, begin with what the participants need. Anxiety-recovery coaching is not interchangeable with performance training, clinical care or safeguarding. A tour operator can coordinate logistics while a club welfare lead handles participant support; an individual can also contact us directly.

Share dates, ages, language, location and the general purpose of the enquiry rather than players' diagnoses. We will discuss suitability, availability, privacy and costs. Native-speaking support in other languages is coming soon, not currently available, and website translations do not change the coaching language.

Compare services and evidence, not just labels

Choose support that matches your needs and ask about the provider's qualifications, approach and privacy arrangements. Our explanation of how TRT works includes the Institute's published evaluation results and links to its research methodology.

The reported evaluation relates to the earlier Linden Method and is a single-group outcomes evaluation, rather than a comparison between therapies. We welcome individuals as well as people in sport who want personal guidance for stress and anxiety recovery.
